Yannic Bartolozzi

Biography

Yannic is a freelance photographer. He mainly works in the field of architecture, Corporate photography, art reproduction photography and sometimes as a Press photographer. He also teach photography at Atelier 207.

Born 1981 in Morges, Switzerland, Yannic Bartolozzi currently lives and works around Lausanne. In 2008, he graduated from the Vevey school of applied arts (CEPV) and obtained the Swiss Federal Capacity Diploma for photography (CFC). He then furthered his studies to obtain the Diploma of the Superior Photography School of Vevey. In 2016, with three others collegues, he founded a new photography workspace called «Atelier 207», based in Penthalaz, Switzerland.

In his artistic approach, not deprived of romanticism, Yannic is guided by a strong sense of curiosity and a love for travel. His photographic work aims to use the camera in order to raise questions and explore the world. Yannic’s photographs are a combination of fiction and documentary. He likes transforming the reality into universes of imaginary journeys, in places where lonely human seems facing unlimited wilderness. He has participate to several personal and group exhibitions, and like to produce books.

Magnetic activity and behind the mountains

For the first talk event of the year, Strates invites Yannic Bartolozzi, photographer, to talk about his ongoing projects Magnetic Activity and Behind the mountains in Lausanne, Rue de la Borde 12, thuersday march 8  2018.

Doors open at 7pm. Talk starts at 8.30pm. Drinks and small appetizers are planified!

Exhibition from 29th july to 10th September 2017, during the du Vovousa Festival, Greece

Documentary project made with a pinehole camera on the mountain village of Vovousa and inhabitants in Greece. This project has been made from 15 mai to 15 Jun 2017, during the Vovousa Residency Program. This work has been supported by the Vovousa Festival in Greece and The Engelberts Fondation in Switzerland.

Opening the 3rd february, at 6pm, at Standard Deluxe, Lausanne, Switzerland

At 7pm, unique presentation of the Planeterrella, an electromagnetic experiment capable of simulating the polar auroras. This experiment was rethought by Jean Lilenstein, director of research CNRS at the Institute of Planetology and Astrophysics of Grenoble (IPAG).
